In the area of social assistance, the Cerralvo Board sponsors an ongoing food and medication distribution program for senior citizens and families with limited resources.

The Board's work is not centered exclusively in Cerralvo; in the past four years, Support Brigades have been created in the South of the State of Nuevo Leon to benefit more than 1,000 families.

The board has decided to expand its area of influence because of emergencies that have occurred elsewhere in the country, by which more than 2,000 families have been helped.
